yep...

1. lift both sides with the lil lever
2. remove the four bolts at the bottom edge--two each near the levers, two near the center.
3. lift up and out, the back has four prongs that sit in brackets behind the seat.

That sounds pretty straightforward. I was interested in knowing this as well...there's some sound proofing planned for the future for my truck's rear wall.

Follow up question: About how much does that rear seat weigh and are there any complications that would make its removal more than a one man job?

It could be done with one person, but as always, it would be easier with two people just because of the size and limited space.

I moved mine by myself this past month actually.

it's surprisingly light...maybe 40# or so? one person can do it pretty easily, i did it in a single-car apartment style garage.

Thanks, sean. I work out regularly so 40# or so sounds pretty manageable by myself.

yah, im a lil scrawny dude, and i was able to maneuver it around pretty easy. it's all wireframe on the back of the seat, so it's easy to lug around once it's free of the truck.

The rear seat sounds easy.

I also might remove the front seats and the carpet. Is the carpet Glued anywhere? See any pitfalls in this project? What all has to be removed to fold the carpet up?

I just received my 70 Sq Ft. of Brown Bread and I also purchased two 4’x8’ sheets of acoustic foam from http://www.amistorefront.com/detail.aspx?ID=1

I plan to put BB on the back wall, and then the foam. As for the doors, BB on the metal, and the foam on the plastic facing it. I will cut out where the speaker grills are.

The one project that has me a little nervous is the headliner. But I think it will be one of the most noticeable improvements. I plan BB on the roof, and foam on the headliner facing it. The foam is about 1” but easily compressed. Is there enough room for this in the headliner? I think BB on the floor is all I can do. The foam would be too thick. Maybe two layers of BB.

I will post photos of the entire project. With all the snow going on here it’s a perfect weekend for it!

What the heck are those two black boxes mounted to the rear of the cab ???? Vents?

I hope the dealer carries the white quick snaps that hold the door cover on. Mine is missing one. I know I didn't drop it. Looks like it was never there. Still fits shug without it, but you know it will drive me nuts knowing one is missing :-)

I remember trying to take the backseats out a few moths ago, the bolts that hold them up were so strong, they broke my socket wrench!

What did you guys use to un bolt them? None of my friends could unbolt them either.

I can't get my backseats out. I want to remove one side, the larger of the two sides. I can take off the plastic cover near the hinge, and remove those two bolts....but I don't see any bolts near the armrest. I assume all back seats are split 60/40? Anyhow, I can take out those first two bolts, and slide the seat towards the door, but there isn't enough room for that pin to come out. I took all of the plastic covers off from that area under the armrest, but I still lack about 1/4" enough room to pull that pin from it's hole. I hope this makes sense, and somebody can tell me which moronic simple step I'm missing.

No, my seat is not a 60/40 split. Solid bench all the way across.

My seat splits. The backrest is solid, but the seats are split. The armrest is completely in one side. The smaller part is about one "butt" wide.
