I had the same dilemma because I wanted to have a toolbox but also be able to use a bed cover. I looked forever but couldn't find one that would fit below the rails. I'd like to claim it as my idea, but one of the guys at TundraSolutions put a Tacoma gullwing box in his Tundra. He has some pics but I can't remember his name. I got a Tacoma box made by UWS last week, and it fit perfectly! The box's sides are flush with the bed sides and the top is about 1 inch below the sides. If you really want to see what it looks like, go to your local trucking supply store and ask them if you can throw one in the back of your truck to check the fit.

If you bolt the box in yourself, just be sure to keep it a few inches from the front of the bed so you can open the lid.
