Question SR5 vs. Limited

I would like to know what others think of the exterior trim of the SR5 vs. Limited Tundras. I prefer the look of the chrome grill, wheel arch moldings and O/S mirrors. When I see a Limited, I know I am looking at a higher end truck w/ leather and the power rear window and what not, but to me the chrome accents on the SR5 look better.

Part 2. What do you think of the grill on the '03 and '04 models vs. the 2000-2002. I think the '03 + looks more agressive and the color keyed front bumper looks nice as well. Just my opinion...what do you think?

personally i like the 2000-02 front bumper a little better than the 03, but i like the 03 grill better than its predecessor, but im happy with my 03 Natural White, Access Cab SR5 V8, just needs foglights to complete the look.

Default Looks

I like the looks of the 2000-2002, the chrome bumper front and rear look better than a chrome rear and painted front, Also on a truck the bumpers should be chrome to avoid scratches and nicks, and chips from rocks being thrown up from other vehicles, it seem like a poor choice to paint bumpers when they may be in contact with things. I wonder if a 2000-2002 front can be easily attached to the 03-04. The Chrome gives it a more refined higher priced look. Also I like the chrome wheel openings, the fender flairs look like an after market add on that do not quite fit properly and seem to bulge to much.

Wow, i am the total opposite, i love the painted front end, paitned side mirror, completes the truck imo, just makes it look sleeker to me. To each his own, do what you like and what makes YOU happy. my .02

Agree w/ blueranger, I bought the Limited because I prefer the color keyed grille, mirrors, generally less chrome. I love the power driver seat and rear window, leather, steering wheel audio controls, and woodgrain decor. Suspect you can get some of this stuff in an SR5, but none of the SR5s around here had these features. So far (5K mi) a GREAT truck.

I've got an '01 Ltd and specifically bought that model because I wanted the color-keyed outside mirrors along with painted fender flares on my 2-tone.
Here are two green Tundra's one an SR5 and the other a Ltd. The SR5 has a clean, athletic look, especially if you want to upsize your rims/tires. I personally like the flares on a two-tone and it kinda gives the truck a bulkier look. Credit to HOVER for both pics.

I'm gonna have to agree too... I also bought the Limited for all the color keyed parts. Looks VERY SLICK in my opinion.... getting close to breaking the 1K mile mark!

the ltd package looks real nice on a dark colored truck. the black flares look great on the silver skys or the white...but then, a trd kit on a white tundra looks awful sharp.

the 03+ grilles...look kinda goofy, like they were trying to go caddy or something, and the caddy they resemble makes me think "queens representatives" or "icy hot stuntaz", not class and style...

I see I am the minority here. I guess Toyota knew color keyed accents would be desirable, therefore put them on the high end truck.

Between the two trucks pictured I prefer the Limited...I think its because I don't care for the front ends of the 2000 - 2002 models . I use to like that look but since the '03 came out I prefer the later. An SR5 with the triple horizontal chrome accents on the grill and the color bumper w/ round fog lights look good. The Limited's wheel arch mouldings are growing on me though.
