Angry Vent control

On my 03 when I have the vent control to the right of the bi-level setting then return it to the bi-level or face vent it is hard to move. Just as it rotates to the bi0level position it gets so tight to turn I have to let up on it then do it again till it twist over there. Is there anyone else experiencing this problem?

check the cables behind the panel. they may be binding or need lube.

My 03' does the same thing, but it isn't quite as bad as yours, mine is just hard to turn, and while turning I can't really "feel" the different settings in the knob, I just have to kind of hover the selector over the setting I want it will not "snap" into place.
