Question Drop in Toyota Bed Liner

I purchased an under-the-rail Toytota Bed Liner for my Tundra. It did not come with instructions and I didn't figure I would need any. I have two questions about it.

#1 The tailgate piece seems to be designed to go underneath the tailgate rail cap. I popped off the tailgate rail cap, installed the tailgate liner, then put the cap over the liner. Is this how it should be done?

#2 The bed liner has two flate squares that may line up with two large bolts that secure the bed to the frame. I was thinking about drilling holes in the liner, then running the two bolts through the liner. Has anyone done that? I wondered if it would cause the bed to become loose by installing it that way.

I just took mine out about three weeks ago. There was no bolts. It was pretty secure just under the rail. It snaps under the rail gutter. The tension the liner put on the sides nearly threw me out of the bed a few times. To take it out I had to bend up in the center to get the sides out from under the rail! Any Q's feel free to ask!

Id say return that puppy if you can get a full refund. I have an OTR bedliner and wish I'd got it sprayed. You can always get it sprayed later, its not that big of a deal.

As to your questions
1) yes
2) I wouldnt drill holes in it, it will let more water underneath. the bedliner will collect water like a swimming pool and it will just leak out the tailgate when you drive. If you drill into it, water will probably seep under the bedliner sooner and more often. It wont fall out if thats what you're worried about!

Ditto file014. Get a refund and go with a quality spray in liner; Line-X & Rhino seem to be the best. In the long run you won't be
