Default Rear Bumper replacement

Just got rear-ended today. ~10mph. The only visible damage is hte the rear bumper got bent up around the center. Thankfully the trailer hitch stopped him from going any further.

He said to call him first before insurance, but I wanted a rough estimate on what the repair/replacement would cost. (gonna have it officially estimated later)

Thanks

Just had estimate done today for similiar situation (<10mph) hit; little under $1250.00. Also includes minor body and repaint each rear quarter panel under ends of bumper and replacement of one license light. Top qulaity body shop w/rate of $42.50/hr

Sounds like your bumper got pushed into hte 1/4 panels. Mine seems more like a "superficial" wound. Thanks for hte info. Anyone else?

The bumper shell itself is around $400. The plastic stuff is extra along with installation. If you have a tow hitch, it bolts to the bumper in the middle. It could also be damaged. This peice (tow hitch) is around $300. You might want to try an aftermarket unit like Rough Country.
