Be careful! I've read elsewhere on this topic that the chrome strip on the bumper of '03 and up Tundras is held in place with a combination of tape
and fasteners that go through the bumper. Removing the strip is possible, but you then have to figure out how to fill in the holes that are left behind (I seem to remember that there's 8 of them) and paint them body color etc. etc. In my case, it sounded like too much hassle to be bothered with.
I actually like the look of the front of the '03 and up Tundra's, it's one of the things that originally attracted me to the truck. I do wish that having the grille and bumper color keyed was at least an
option on SR5 trucks, I would have been happy to pay a few extra $$$ for it....
