Question How to Remove rear armrest?

I was wondering if anyone knew how to remove the rear armrest as I need to make way for a sub i want to put in that cavity that the armrest is in. Help please!!

Gary,

It's been a while since I did mine--but I have also removed the armrest. Apologies if this is not entirely accurate. I think you can slide the plastic covers off of each side these cover the brackets and then gain access to the nuts . I am pretty sure there is one on each side. Try sliding the plastic covers off. If you're really jammed and you get no other replies you can email me and I'll take another look at it. I am leaving for Tahoe tomorrow afternoon, so I'll be out of touch. The cool thing is--a standard bandpass enclosure will wedge perfectly in the armrest cavity...

any updates... i've been wanting to do this for some time to take a look but have never really messed around with them...

ummmm...iirc, it's not actually bolted in. if you force it to one side and twist, one side should pop out, followed by the other. i think you need to remove a couple plastic parts for the seatbelt holders, but the armrest itself isn't bolted in place.
