Default Pops-A-Dent...Anyone Use This?

Has anyone tried Pops-A-Dent? I have a Civic w/ two small dings I'd like to fix. It is not something I want to pay to have fixed, but if this product works I'll buy it.

No personal experience, but the general feeling on the boards and a couple of friends is that it's junk.
The glue either isn't strong enough to do the job, or damages the paint, or the little feet cause two more dents.

Maybe check one of the paintless dent removal places. They probably use something similar, but in a pro grade... kinda like the plastic infomercial french fry slicers don't work for a potato bigger than a golf ball, and the big aluminum one at In-N-Out can slice a 2-pound Russet with no effort.

I used Ding King on a shopping cart dent in my door. It did help a lot but not perfection. I think it has a lot to do with the "shape" of the dent. Mine had sort of a crease in it and can still be seen up close, though you really have to look for it.

If they sold them at the local 5 & dime I would give it a try. I don't want to order one not knowing if it will do the job, without chipping paint. Thanks!

I wrote a review of the Ding King product (essentially the same thing) for my website that you can check out.

As dsconstructs said its effectiveness depends on the type of dent you are trying to fix. On small creaseless dents on flat areas, believe it or not, it actually works rather well. I got OK results, but I had a large dent near the top of the bed rail. Looks better than it did tho. I have since used it on a couple of bros cars and they all came out great.

Default Oh My God- A Dent!

Was cleaning my truck last friday and found a tiny dent below the bedrails. Any ideas on how to remove the dent myself. Its not that terrible, but its annoying, I know its there. AHHHHHHHH

I just had one removed today. I had ran the lawn mower handle into the side of my passanger door while mowing around a corner. It was a little dent and you had to look hard to see it. But it bugged me. SOOOO!
You have to ask yourself "is it worth $80 to have a dent removed"?
Also! I had read in another forum that you could park your vehicle in the sun to heat up the surface and take an ice cube and rub it in the center of a small dent and then rub the outer edge of the dent and it would pop back out on it's own.
Nice trick if it works. May be somebody will try it and let us know.

Default Works!

My friend had a 2x4 hanging out the front of his trailer (BAD MOVE) and forgot when he backed up the trailer. He pushed in the back door of his Suburban slightly and the metal was definitely stretched. He had it repaired and asked how they did it afterward. The owner told him they actually heat the entire panel and use cold water and POP, panel goes right back into shape! . I've got a small ding in the door that I'm gonna try a heat gun and the ice cube deal. This looks promising. I know the paintless dent repair shops use the special tools with heat to fix all the small stuff.

I had 4 dings (3 on doors one on hood... 2 of 3 on doors were pretty good sized) removed from my Sequoia for around $80 at the local Dent Doctor shop. I have to admit I was nervous, but after he was done (took about 20-min total), I couldn't even tell where they had been... Did an A+++++ job in my opinion!!

From what I've read on-line about these places, is its almost as much an art as it is technique to pull dents... not something I'd want to mess around with on a $40+K vehicle.
