This is a discussion thread titled "Help! New Tundra Owner (bedliner)", within the Interior & Exterior forum, part of the Technical & Vehicle Assistance Forums category.
Hows it going fellas? Anyways, I just purchased a Tundra and have no clue on what to get for my bed. My car did not come with a bedliner, so I was just wondering what's the best route to go in installing one. Should I take it to the dealer and have them do it because maybe they have the exact size and quality bedliner? Or do you guys have any other suggestions? All help is greatly appreciated...

I have the factory bedliner on my truck and it is of good quality, but I would go with a spray-on bedliner like Line-X or Rhinolining. My toyota bedliner is an over the rail model and has rubbed the paint there nearly down to the metal and left the paint flat and dull on the rails, I can only imagine what it looks like underneath the rest of the bed.
I have a bed liner in my double cab and am ready to sell it. I will either have it rhino lined or use the do it your self kit from the sell at the auto parts store. Cost is about $375 for the rhino or $100.00 plus your labor of 2 to 3 hours.

My vote goes to either Line-X or Rhino. I personally have Line-X and love it. I thinkthat Rhino is a little more rubbier, but both are well worth money. IMO!!

A spray in is the way to go! I have a Line X in this truck and love it. Had it done while in WV for $325 for the Tundra. Shop around prices ran from 325 - 500 and the fellow for $325 did a GREAT job!! Good luck
The dealership from which I purchased my '03 Tundra had already sprayed my liner in. Not sure which brand they went with, but it's one helluva bedliner and whoever did the work did a great job. Avoid drop in liners if at all possible; I had one on my Tacoma and hated it.
if i purchase the spray in, how would i install it? Is it literally a "spray". How much do they run. Sorry for all these questions
Line-X and Rhino have authorized dealers that spray the stuff in for you. Took about 2-3 hours to pick my truck up from the time I dropped my truck off. Also, be sure to let the dealer know whether you want all the bolts sprayed over or not and also the plastic bed plugs.
