Installation is a piece of cake. 10 minutes.

Look on ebay for possible deals.

Default different? s/s or stock metal one

I was wanting to know it seems as though the stock skidplate being mostly closed in keeps alot of road dirt away from engine and engine compartment.

Do you know if the s/s one lets alot more up in engine compartment.

The S/S one doesn't replace the stock skid plate. It just sits unders the front bumper for looks.

Ya... it's as much of a skidplate as my Bullys are rock sliders.

33% of the reason for my Bullys is to make it easier to wash/wax the roof.
33% is for looks.
34% is to catch Civic doors before they hit the paint.
