i think u miss the point of the L function...it's if your going downhill and possibly towing a trailer or some such thing and u don't wanna massacre the brakes....use that function and u basically have a nice engine break like stick shift vehicles do...i just move the shifter to a lower gear if i want the same function....

Default Fuel door and more...

I agree with Mike... is there a rash of fuel stealing or sugar cube spiking that I'm not aware of??? In all my years of driving I have never had or heard of anyone having gas stolen out of their cars! While the locking fuel door does force you to turn off the truck - a VERY good idea - it is a huge pain in the a$$. I can't listen to the radio and then my alarm arms itself etc... At the very least there should be a remote release for the fuel door. Guess that’s not an issue anymore the newer models.

OK here's my biggest gripe... When driving over 5 mph and the window is open any rain water or windshield washer fluid runs off the windshield and drips all over the power mirror/lock/window controls!

The seatbelt thing sucked until my dealer replaced them under warrantee!

I agree about the cheap cup holder – always getting screwed up.

OH and here is a big one. The position of the 4-wheel drive button. Notice it is just below the recirculate button for the AC. I was cruising down the highway one day, got behind a stinky semi – without looking reached down and hit the recirculate button and heard a loud beeping sound!!! Looked down to see I had hit the 4x4 button!!!! OH $*&% Luckily the truck “refused” my request and did not engage 4-wheel drive – that would had seriously destroyed something I’m sure!!! They should just swap the clock and 4x4 controls to make everything in a unique location.

On my 05 and I guess all Tundras.

Why the cheesy 80's style green light clock? Why not the backlit LCD or something better like everyone else uses nowadays.

Why the oh so old school style, basic, doesn't get any plainer than that gauge/dash lights? I mean it is 2005 not 1985. Everyone now has bright white or bluish lights or something. What's with the pale green lighting?

My wife did the same thing. This is a classic example of poor ergonomics. The switch location seems to be an after thought. Plus, I hate how you have to reach way over to hit the rear defroster button.
