My suggestions for debadging...
Use 20 lb. test
FIRELINE . You can find it at Wal-Mart. I used 14 lb. Fireline to remove mine, and it broke once on each badge. Plus, it's the best fishing line I've ever used, so you can spool it up on your reel when you're done debadging. Remember to use thick gloves also.
Use a hair dryer to just warm up the badges. Remember, the hotter the glue behind the badge gets, the harder it is to take off after the badge is removed since it's stickier. You don't even have to use a hair dryer if you don't want to. This way, the glue left behind comes off easier.
Wash immediately after badge is removed... before you take off residue.
Wax after glue is removed. Take pictures and post 'em.
