Default Clear mask (bra) Paint Protection???

I am looking at these Clear bras (front end mask).

But I am shocked at the pricing for a '02 Tundra....

Front Bumper kit $260
Hood & Mirror kit $240
Headlight kit $51

Total $551

I think this is WAY EXCESSIVE in pricing!!!
and this does not even include installation.

Anyone know where to find this product at a much better price?

Thank You

Actually that doesn't sound toooo out of line to me. The material itself is extremely costly...around $15 to $20 per square foot. I had a local tint shop put the 3M "ClearBra" film on the front third of my '03s hood and fenders, on the head/turn lamps, and around the grill (but not the grill cross bars). I did not have any put on the mirrors or the bumper. Took the installer nearly 5 hours just to do that much (the material is very difficult to work with as well as being expensive).

Total charge was $350 for material and installation. It would have been another $400 to have the front of the bumper protected.

The good news is the film is nearly invisible (even on my white truck) and it really does a great job of protecting the paint from flying rocks and sand.

Check out AUTOCLEARGUARD. He lists the same prices, but at the top of the page shows a 30% discount for members of this site. That's a savings of $165.30. TS membership has it's advantages! BTW, I got mine from them and dealt with Ryan. I've had it for a couple of years now and not one paint chip.

Try these guys: http://www.xpel.com

Pricewise, they're the cheapest I've found. If you can do it yourself (and it's not that hard), you'll save a bundle.

Take the other guys' suggestions. I know you can get it for less. Definitely a learning curve when installing the film yourself. Unlike RockyMtnRay, though, my clear bra yellowed enough over a year's time to be quite noticeable. I see in your profile you have a white Tundra.

I have two things going for me with regard to the yellowing concern on a white truck. First, it's my understanding that 3M has changed the film so it doesn't yellow, or at least not as much as it used to. I had mine done in January so it's the newer film and hasn't aged much. Probably more important (and something not possible for most folk), most weeks my truck stays inside my garage for all but a few hours. I suspect it's the UV in sunlight that yellows the film and the nose of my truck gets very little sun...over the course of a year my truck gets exposed to the sun about as much as most people's trucks do in a month.

That makes sense. I park in the garage at home and at work so my truck sees very little sun, as well.

If 3M improved their formula for the clear film, then go for it. My Tundra lives in the garage. I'm also given a work truck, so the Tundra doesn't commute. Damn stuff yellowed anyway.

I have been getting my 3M clear bras from Xtreme Autoshield. They price match plus 10%. Hope this helps.

This is who I used; Body-Skins Inc. - Paint Protection Film, Car Bra, bugshield, Performance Films
He came out to the house and installed the bumper and mirror film for $250. I think for him to drive from IL to CA will be a little more.
I've used him before and always has done a very professional job.

It can be removed after sitting in the sun for a while and using a hair dryer. Then use a wax and grease remover to remove the adhesive.

Yeah I remember seeing that.. I got me the regular front cover bra ($85 bucks) for my Dble Cab instead... when I go on trips I'll slap that on my tundra and take it off when back home...its easy to put on and take off piece of cake...
