Default 3" Nerf Bars $100.00 off at Performance Products

Fellow Tundra owners, I just got an e-mail from Performance Products and it seems the Nerf bars I got for my 03, are on sale $100.00 off, so there down to $250.00. I've had mine for quite awhile and love them. You can check the link in my sig. and check out my photos are there are a couple of shots with them.

Hey Session, those look pretty sweet. Can you give me some details on the lifetime warranty? Like does it cover chipping of the chrome plating, etc. Been looking for some bars for a while and these are by far the cheapest SS Chrome I have seen. Thanks!!!!!!!!

616269799, I can't really say for sure as I've not had to "validate" or use the warranty. Needless to say, I'd have much rather spent $100.00 less, but that's the breaks. They send me e-mails about specials and what not, so I figured that because I'd had such good luck with mine, I'd pass it on. They bolted right up, no problems, no modding or cutting of the mud flaps like I've heard about some other brands. I keep them waxed and they work, look, and fit fine. There maybe some warranty info. on P.P's web site, or give them a call, they've always been really helpful in the past.

Session, thanks for the info. I'll be giving them a call. Almost everyone bar i've found is warranteed for life against rust, but there is no warranty on the chrome plating.
Thanks for posting the link to the sale, as I'm sure many people will benefit from it...myself included.

Default over priced and marketed under misleading company name !

Performance products is a total rip off - they market other manufactures products , make it sound like its theres and mark up the price to a stupid amount - every single item in there catolog is a rip off and i've compared there prices to multiple sources on the internet - dont be fooled by there lies.

Well I don't think I'd call them rip-off artists or anything. I'm sure that they have manufacturers make products for them and they stamp their name on them. Happens all the time. Some of the products are too overpriced for my tastes. I think they list the Ivan Stewart rims at 300.00 a piece. I paid less than that, and got 4 BFG 265 70 R16 AT's delivered. So you do have to keep an eye out on the prices. I noticed the TRD supercharger was a bit high too. Now the bars I got are just as they described and have had no issues what so ever. Now that they're 100.00 cheaper, it's an even better deal. Probably not the best place to shop for everthing, but they've still got some really good deals, first class customer service (including returns), so i can't really complain.

Well there you go, early bird gets the worm. I wish I'd have known, because they were $350.00 when I got them. When I saw they were down to $250.00 did get a little jealous, but even still, wanted to spread the word at T.S. so others could get a deal even better than I originally got.

Let me know what you think of them.

Yes, they absolutely "Bolt Right On". When I bought mine (awhile back), they weren't listed for my 03, but I convinced P.P. to send them out on a trial basis. The first set had a crossthreaded bolt hole in the tube (you'll understand if you buy them, as there is a thread on the inside of the tube that connects to the bracket), so I sent them back. No problems, no hassles, no return shipping, AND no shipping for the NEW set. Now that to me, is worth a little markup, because these things are too big and heavy for me to be eating the shipping to and from. Very happy with them, AND Performance Products in general. As someone stated earlier, some of their items aren't "steals" by any means, so for some of them, shopping around would be in order. I can safely say that even for the $350.00 I paid, they're still well worth it. Bolt them on, clean them, wax, them, and roll.

Default did anyone buy for a 2004 tundra access cab?

Hi all,
I wanted to check and see if anyone else bought these for a 2004 Access Cab. I received mine yesterday. I went to put them on only to find out that the rear bracket which goes between the rear cab mounting brackets. does not line up with the square frame holes it is off by about a 1/2 inch.

I called performance products. The guy I taked to was very helpful and checked to make sure that the right ones got sent, but I know have to wait until Monday to call customer service to find out where to go from here.

Let me know if anyone else is in the same situation. My installation instructions say Application 2000-02. So I am a bit puzzled. May be I got the wrong brackets?
Thanks.

Bmann, I cant' say for sure about the 04 thing because I've got an 03. I do know that when I got mine (awhile ago), P.P. still had them listed on the website for 00-02, and not the 03. They did go right on mine. Hopefully you've got the wrong brackets. What did the web site say for model years? did it cover the 04?

yes, it said that it would fit an 04.

Do you remember if your square frame holes were in the center of the rear cab brackets or more towards the rear of the truck?
