Default Rhino-Liner vs. Speedliner opinions (No Line-x please.)

I'm going to schedule an appointment this week for a spray-in bedliner. I have a reputable Rhino dealer 1 mile away for $399 plus tax under rail. I have decided against a Line-X simply because I have read that it is more abrasive on cargo, yet does not hold it in place as well. I understand that it may be harder and look nicer, but I don't care. I'm only using the truck for home improvements and hauling motorcycles and I don't want my gear sliding all around. I'm not going to be hauling boulders, etc. or anything really damaging and will be careful with shovels or anything sharp.

I've recently heard a little about Speedliners. How do they compare to Rhinos with the above listed usage in mind? What about price? I did a forum search, but there isn't much on Speedliner. I also looked at the website, but I prefer real, non-sponsered opinions. Any help is appreciated.

I have rarely heard of Speedliner. Since, Line-X is no go(that's what I have), I suggest Rhino.

Not trying to offend anyone with a Line-X. Most of the opinions that I've read state that Rhinos hold cargo in place better. If I'm totally wrong on the sliding cargo bit, then please correct me. I know that cargo will slide on any liner of you drive like an a**hole, but I'm looking for general usage. As I said earlier, I'm not that concerned about appearance (either looks nice to me) and they both seem hard enough.

I love my Linex. Works perfect and stuff doesn't slide around unless you slam on the brakes.

You may have read this in another thread. But, regarding Speedliner, what is it? Their website doesn't say. Is it polyurethane like LINE-X and Rhino or is it a paint, or what? You might want to check it out before you make your decision. Speedliner has almost twice the tensile strength of Rhino but they have about the same softness. If it is a polyurethane, ask if it contains polyurea. Polyurea is an expensive ingredient but makes for a much harder and tougher liner. (LINE-X has polyurea, Rhino does not.)

I have LineX and I agree that things slide around on it. I can't compare it to Rhino since I have never seen it up close. I bought an indoor/outdoor rug and cut it to fit the truck bed. It is great because it holds things and then I can yank it out, shake it and all the debrie is out of the truck bed. When it is wet, it does take a long time to dry but that's not a problem if you have a spray in liner below it (i.e. it won't cause any rust). I have a new Tundra on order and was slightly currious about those new rug liners that are custom fit and even go up the walls. I wonder if they would go over the spray in. My indoor/outdoor carpet saves my knees when crawling around on it and I would expect these rug liners would be even better on this depending on the material and thickness. Still, I will probably go with LineX again and the indoor/outdoor rug.

Default Bed liner

My new Tundra is due this week and I am having the dealer do a line-x spray in liner. I looked at Rino and Speedliner. The rino is too soft and from the info I could get is only supported by the installing dealer. Line x is nationwide supported. My only contact with Speedliner is that a local dealer installs it and I do not recommend that dealer for other reasons. To cure the cargo sliding issue I will put a rubber bed mat in on top of the spray in liner. I have used them in other trucks and they are durable, rsisistant to spills ( even most common chemicals) and can easily be removed for cleaning. Plus they dampen sound. My solution.

I don't know about Speedliner or Line X but I have the Rhino Lining and you are correct about one thing. You can drive like a maniac and things stay put. It is so much nicer than a drop in liner but can't compare it to other spray in liners. Good luck

I heard about one guy who had peeling with his Speedliner, the local installer was out of business, and the national organization told him that the warranty was totally the responsibility of the local shop that did the work. Not good.

I have Line-X in both of my trucks plus, two LoadingZone cargo gates. Nothings slides or rolls. Works well for my business. I also have a rubber bed mat in my Tundra and need one for my T100...

Default My truck got Rhino'd today

Just picked her up from the Rhino Linings place. All I can say is, "wow". This stuff looks even better than I had thought. I have a timberland green 05 DC, and went with a charcoal grey lining. Looks awesome!

I had a hard time choosing between this and Line-x, but my wife got me a gift certificate for the Rhino Linings for Valentines day, so that made my decision easier

I am very pleased with the way it came out. The quality is great. Now I just to find something that needs moving

Default Hey Tucson!

Another Tucson person here!

I need to have my truck done too and dont know which way to go. How long were you without your truck for the Rhino liner? Did they remove any bolts before spraying it or...? Can you post some pics? I'd like to see that charcoal color you have.
