Has anybody had any luck in removing shadows?

My truck is 20 months old, and I just started spring cleaning and decided to de-badge. Not sure what you had for protection on the paint, but, it sounds like the exposed areas (around the badge) have changed, thus the new highlight. I washed the area of the former badge, used clay bar with Pinnacle lubricant, and then polished with Klasse all-in-one in the 10" badge zone. When done, I did the whole door again with polish. I then finished with the first coat of glaze protectant.
The doors/gate look brand new with no evidence of badges. Grey
is in the neutral zone to me on the color wheel. The Zaino products may be a better choice to work with for your color. Too many variables here to explain, such as original protection, did truck sit in good CA sun all day, etc. Not a paint expert, but, with the right product, buffing should help to reduce/eliminate the shadows. Maybe some other members can offer advice. Good Luck!
