Question Washing and waxing recommendations

I would like to solicit recommendations or "best practices" for washing and waxing the Tundra. Now that the weather is getting better here in New England, I would like to take the time to do the job right.

Also, I have found a multitude of little scratches. I believe most of them are no deeper than the clearcoat. What buffing compound and rotary buffer works well for removing this type of scratch? If I find that some of the scratches go through the clearcoat, or worse, through the paint, what would be the right way to deal with it?

Thanks!

If a combo of all these whizz bangs met their claims you'd have to siphon gas out of your tank every second day and sell the excess horsepower on the third????
If your engine doesn't consume ANY oil it will seize???
Some people should not be allowed access to tools without books!!!

I followed the advice of "Sessiondrummer" and bought some "Best Of Show" wax from Griot's online as well as some other stuff (clay, detailer, micro-fiber towels). I have to say that it is definitely the best stuff I have ever used as far as ease of use (on & off) and results. They have several kits available just check out their site. Stuff works awesome, just follow the instructions.

Zombie's right on, on this one. I've been using a multitude of products over the years and have been let down by some, and others just didn't seem to work/last like they should have. So far (and I've got alot of his products), I've been absoutely blown away by EVERY product I've used from Griot's Garage. Polishes, wax, clay bar, microfiber towels, window cleaner, tire cleaner, etc. the list goes on and on, but one thing remians constant. His products are better than ANY that I've used before. Def. check out my photos in my sig. as I've got quite a few photos of the Best In Show wax in action. Have to see it to believe it.

I wouldnt recomend a rotary unless your experienced in using it. You can very easily burn throught the clearcoat if you dont know what your doing. If your in the market for a buffer, definitly check out the PC 7424. I second autopia.org, tundrakid recomended that site to me, it has become my second home..
