Question Sticker and Badge removal

I am going to take the TRD stickers off my new 2002 Limited. I wondered if any one who has done this could offer some advice on how to do this without hurting the paint.

I am considering removing the badges as well. Any thoughts on how to do this and what it looks like would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Kevin

I used fishing line and bug/tar remover to remove the sticky stuff

For Badges:

Tried doubled up dental floss and it broke repeatedly. Swapped out for 20lb fishing line and it helped alot, but still broke ocassionally! Get those things nice and warm with a hair dryer, then saw them off with the line. If you have some leather gloves you will save your fingers some strangulation. You can also use the dryer to warm up the residual adhesive and rub it off. Again gloves will prevent a thumb blister, but be careful to to rub too hard and leave scratches. Lastly, finish it off with 3M adhesive remover (works better than the bug/tar remover IMHO), dry it well, a little rubbing compound if needed, and top it off with a nice coat of wax.

You will be stoked with the results!!! Will take about 2 hours forr all badges.

Can't help much with the TRD stickers. If I remember some info from previous threads, Zaino makes a clay bar that will let you rub them off. PM eldiablojoe, I think that is what he did.

Enjoy!!

Used a "Detail Wheel" to remove mine. (Rubber type wheel that attaches to power drill.) Wife pulled the decals off as good as possible; then I used the detail wheel and got all the goop off. (Doesn't scratch the paint either!!)

I also used the leather glove/20lb. fishing line/hair dryer/bug remover approach, and it worked nicely. After a coat of wax (I like Zymol), it looks great! It's even easier to clean.
