    Default Fake wood

Can the "fake" wood trim in a Tundra Limited be swapped out for the "plain" plastic trim? Is this a big deal? I like the leather interior but dislike the fake wood.

    cc101,

I believe on some you can and others you can't. you'll probably have to swap out the whole center console. I've seen some that are mainly put on by 3m tape whether it be molded pieces or flat.
If you do get it off (the wood trim) let me know how it went and one other thing.-Can i buy the wood trim from u if and only if you do get it off the dash..

Your profile is not filled in so I don't know if you have the limited 02 like myself. I like the wood and my wife thinks it is a little hoky but she has shut up about it. I have had my center radio cover off to switch out the radio and it is not hard to remove (see the Electornic FAQ).

Keep asking around and I bet you will find some one who will trade you straight across for the trim pieces.

I haven't purchased one yet, still in the "evaluation" phase!

I have seen another version of the trim (not wood) for sale on Ebay so if you are interested parts are available to swap out. Not a big deal, probably less than an hour.
