Default Locking Fuel Cap on a 2003 w/ TSB?

I have done a long search to find this info and nothing specifically answers this question:

Does ANYONE have a locking fuel cap on a 2003 that HAS had the fuel filler neck and cap Technical Service Bulletin replacements done?

Looking for anyone with this setup to let me know if they have ever gotten a MIL.

I had the TSB at 10K miles a couple months ago. Dont have/never had a locking fuel cap. I think it would be the same as the one before though. I got the same fuel cap back--I marked it beforehand.

Default Locking Fuel Cap

I've been looking for a locking gas cap ever since I bought my '03.

Can't find one. There was a thread on this site about this months ago. It listed a Stant cap. I ran right out and bought one. It didn't fit.

And if my memory serves me right there was change in gas filler between '02 and '03.

The Stant 11506 available at PepBoy's for about 11 bucks does fit the 03 Tundra. I have run that locking cap on my 03 Tundra since October of 02, my truck is nearly 2 years old without a single problem. I had an 02 and was pissed to find out the 03s did not have locking lids. So the 11506 works perfectly. Many have used it with no issues.

Again my main issue is to find out if anyone is using that cap whom has had the filler neck and cap replaced under the TSB (2003 tundra only)

Can you tell me what this TSB involves. Or what would have been the symptom's for a person's truck if this TSB were to solve it. This is the first time I have heard of this TSB and I have driven an 03 for nearly 2 years. Thanks

It's a manufacturing defect type TSB. Some 03 model year tundras get a check engine light because the cap dosnt seal up with the fuel filler neck correctly. If you have the check engine light the dealer will replace the filler neck (and the cap i think also) under waranty.

PS. Hopefully the webmaster dosnt mind my link being that it was to answer the question. If they do then, my appoligies.

After reading about the Stant 11506 supposedly fitting the 03 Tundra, I bought one and tried it in the parking lot. While it appears to lock upon first inspection, a little wiggling and it came right off. I took it back and got a refund. I think I'm gonna install a lock on the door and be done with it.
