Default How to turn TRD sticker into a Grill Badge?

I thought a member posted how to turn a trd exterior sticker into a badge that you can affix to a grill

I have the TRD grill that has the stainless steel mesh. If you stick the sticker on, I am thinking it will just fall off over time.

I could have sworn someone posted how to use screw or clamps or something to bolt it to the grill.

You could bolt one of my billet cover plates with Alum TRD emblem for under $20.00.

Hoooo Ya!

If you buy, add "For Grill" to notes and I'll throw in some stainless steel machine screws.

Easy!

Saw sides off (alum. easy to hacksaw). Sand and polish sides. Then drill 2 shallow holes from back and tap. The plates are 1/4 thick so there is enough to hold a 1/4-20 thread.

I'll send you an extra plate for shipping cost if you Fubar the first one.

Ahhh heck....you want to buy them...I'll modify it for you...with tapped holes in back.

Are you really doing this?? i would love to get one, that matches the same shape as my sig logo. i have that trd badge on the rear quarter pannel of my truck. and one on the grille would just finish it off! Even one without the trd on it would work fine, just the devil toyota let me know!!

Default Trade

I got the TRD grill with no sticker. I thought it was ugly so i took the sticker off. The grills r very nice but poorly made. Ive had mine for a year now and it started to rust. Im getting ready to have it powder coated. ANYWAYS i just ran across this thread and was wondering if anyone would be willing to trade inserts.TRD for a MOLLY DESIGN. Of course i dont expect a nicely shined insert for a starting to rust one. Anyways if u happen to have an insert in similar condition and u wanna trade let me know...

that trd with the toyota devil is cool lookin but I dont know if it will work as a badge for the grill cause there would be no backing on it

Im still working on the trd one, I have to redesign it in autocad or some other program and make it 3D for the CnC machine to cut it ... that and the guy I know is kinda busy building tools for his business, but he said soon

The current [stock] one is clipped in, easy to remove .... on the TRD badge I was planning on putting some black metal or something behind it so you wont see the 3D black plastic from the original ... still working on the actual design too
