Thanks for the tips everyone. I was going to debadge my tailgate and the SR5 logos on the side of my truck. I was going to rebadge with the TRD logos, and some of my own design. I have a Transformer character (okay, I'm a geek and a truck lover, okay) that is modeled after my truck. I planned on rebadging my truck with it's nickname on the sides. I also have the big TRD logos on the sides and was wondering if they could removed with a hair dryer as well? Any ideas? Thanks!
On the older trucks, with dark paint, how bad is the ghosting? I would like to debadge my 01 but am afraid that the paint fade is beyond just a good wax and polish job.
It depends on how much exposure to sunlight it's gotten in those years outside. Mine was two years old when I did it and the ghosting was almost non-existent. I have Imperial Jade Mica too and that's a dark color but it held up well to fading. There are a lot of tips here by other members who used various methods to reduce or eliminate their ghosts.

Check my photo gallery for a debadged truck with TRD logo put in its place in the rear.
I like the clean look to my truck, hair drying will help but if you do it on a hot day anyway, with proper tools they should come off just as easily.
Hey, I'm going to be debadging my truck this weekend, and I'll try to take pictures of the process. I'll post them in my gallery. I will also take some high-res pictures when I'm done, with the debadging and after installing my recently purchased Bully stainless steel tube steps.
Does anyone know if the 2005 Tundra Badges are glued on only? I would like to debadge my 2005 Tundra double cab but not if there are holes underneath....
Thanks!
I have a new 2005 D/C, and want to de-badge all of the gaudy chrome emblems to clean up the overall looks of the truck.
What is the best method for removing the emblems without damaging the paint? I tried to muscle one off the other day by using my fingers to pry it up, but it did not want to budge at all. A screwdriver would provide some leverage, but I can just imagine slipping and ending up with a huge gouge in the paint.
Dental floss behind the badge. Takes all but 3 secs. Goof off any left over advesive. Rinse area used with goof off, then apply a quick wax to that spot. Works like a charm without any blemish.

I wouldnt recommend GOOF OFF or GOO GONE with any dark surface trucks. Those remove the wax on the truck and can leave a permanent swirl in your paint. The best way I have found to remove them is using a steamer if you have access to one. You can heat up around the badge and remove them. Or use a heat gun but be careful if you havent used one before you can start bubbling paint pretty easy. Try a hot hairdryer first. After you get the badges off and you are left with all the black glue on the truck go get yourself a 3M rubber wheel. Trust me do it and save yourself alot of time. The rubber wheels attack to any drill and will remove your glue instantly and will not harm the paint. Apply a little wax after you removed all the glue and the trucks good as new.
