All,
My 2005 Toyota Tundra will come with the TRD off-road package. Is it a good thing to remove the TRD Graphics? Also, what is the best way to remove the graphics without ruining the factory paint?
Thanks!

Haeat up with a hair dryer and peel off. Cleanup with adhesive remover and then apply a coat of wax.Originally Posted by Kim1500

exactly. i did mine not too long ago and actually just stuck the car in the sun for about 30 minutes and peeled them right off. I used GOO GONE to take of the sticky adhesive and gave that section a quick wax job.Originally Posted by nhparrot

yeap, what they said... I have a sign and graphics place. I use a heat gun (hair dry can work) with a thing called a "lil chizler" its basicly a thin version of a bondo spreader to help work the graphic off. Then a good coat of wax and you are golden. If the decal has been on for a long time, the paint will be unfaded behind it, and at that point you need a good professional buffing

Over the years driving through automated car washes, mine have started to come off. I need to finish the job the local car wash started
Try some of our products for removing the graphics. We (Rapid Tac Inc.) make one of the industries best Adhesive Removers, and when used properly should not harm paint that is in good condition.
Here's a link to our free videos showing how to remove graphics from a vehicle. We don't recommend heat guns because they isolate the heat too much on a body panel. Instead use a heat tree lamp (these should be common in auto body and restyling shops, and for those of you who do work regularly in a cold shop or garage the lamps are invaluable for many tasks.
Watch the videos and you'll be impressed at just how easy this is.
Thanks,
Jeff
