Default Detailing Products (Inside & Out)

Since we've reorganized, I think I'll start an old topic many of us are interested in. I personally use Zaino Bros for polish/wax.

303 Protectant for interior dash and exterior trim.

Eimann Fabrik cleaning products for detailing inside and out.

Just like everyone else I've been experimenting waxes and polishes all my life. Look no more. Zaino is the bomb! You'll never use another wax.

    Question Opinion on detailing

Well I just purchased a small detailing package from Klasse through CMA. I was just wondering if this sounded right to you detailing buffs..

    Dawn wash
    Clay Bar
    Scrach-X (where needed)
    All in one (AIO)
    Sealant Glaze (SG)
    Zymoil (cleaning wax)

Is this OK??.......any suggestions are welcome

I'm a wanna-be detailing buff, so I just printed out the Detailer's Handbook from Griot's Garage. There is a LOT of great info in there. Based on the 12 pages I've read so far, that list sounds about right. Only 44 more pages to read!

Scratch-x works well or you can use 3M Perfect-It Swirl Mark Remover (SMR), they make one for Dark and another for light colored cars. Pinnacle Paintwork Cleansing Lotion and 3M Imperial Hand Glaze is a good followup after removing the scratches. A high quality carnuba is a great topper to Klasse.

    Hey....
I've heard some good reviews on Turtle Wax, the spray kind.
What do you guys think of this. How exactly does it work? You spray a section, the wait, then wipe off...or is it more complicated than that? Also what do you boys recommend on leather interior?

    hi frk!
look in this forum, but set the option at the bottom to display threads back from about the last 3 or 4 months.

i highly recommend simple green in the gallon size for cleaning grease, mud, and general grime from axles, wheel wells, engines, and when diluted it's great for windows too. other than that, i couldn't recommend soaps or anything, the diy carwash seems to work great.

for plastic and rubber, look for 303 aerospace protectant, also in the gallon size. expensive (50 bucks), but definately worth it. a bunch of the guys here use pledge on their interior plastic, i have cloth seats so i couldn't help with leather.

I just have a quick one...

    Micro-fiber towels.

These things rock! My wife just got some to use in our house and I definitely have to get some for the truck now. Those things pick up everything you wipe them over. She originally got them to dust our nice wooden bedroom outfit, but I dust and wipe everything in the house with them.

I've heard nothing but great things about them on TS and now I know why. Guess I hopped on the train too late

California Duster Mini. I use it on the dash and plastics weekly to prevent build up of dirt and dust on the interior

    Nuff said about that.
