Question I'm looking for a under rail truck box, black, maybe diamond tread?

I want to add an under rail truck box to my 2002 SR5 Tundra. I want it to not be silver, but black to match my Line-X bed liner. I think I've seen some like that which were diamond tread. Anyone know of a brand like that which is a good fit and quality?

I've also heard of mounting the box through the back wall with bolts that extend into the box. These bolts are secured with pins (not nuts) so that you could open the box, pull the pins, then remove the box from the bed to give you more room for cargo. Anyone know of a brand like that?

I also wanted to get one that sits under the rail. I ended getting one that fits between the rails and has about 2" of space on each side. I was happy with the extra space on the sides because, I can still use my tie-downs on the corners. It doesn't sit flush with the rails, maybe about an 1" or 2" above. I drilled 2 holes in the bottom and used the bed bolts to hold the box down. It's silver but, I think they make a black one. It's a Better Built. I purchased it at Lowes Home Improvement(www.lowes.com) for $197.00.

That's pretty nice, Dyogim. I'm considering a box, but do you think a motorcycle would fit in the bed with the tailgate down if the box were installed?

I'm thinking it should fit. If the motorcycle is able to fit with the tailgate up, you shouldn't have a problem with the tailgate down with the box installed. Just to be on the safe side, take some measurements. I have a mountain bike, I know it's not as long but, I had the bike upright diagonally across the bed to fit with the tailgate up.

Weather Guard makes a really nice one. I have it. It shows only about 3 inches above the rail. It is the nicest looking box.
