Question chrome door handles

Does anyone know where I can get chrome door handles. I want to replace the four door handles and the tailgate handle with chrome ones. I think that would add a nice touch to the truck. I searched this site for chrome door handles but came up with nothing.

Any help would be appreciated!!

Thanks,
Tina

I've never actually done it myself, but I know there are shops that chrome and re-chrome automotive parts. People with antique autos often have to have parts rechromed (emblems, trim, bumpers, etc.) to look like new, so theres probably someone out there that could do it for you.

If you're really interested, you might consider checking with some of the local body or auto restoration shops in your area. They would probably know where you can get it done.

Good luck,

T

Thanks T. I was actually thinking about going that route. I'll have to check around to see how much it will be.

Thank you for your suggestion!!!

I think you might look into where auto emblems are made and plated, all the letters on our trucks are plastic and so are the door handles. So if you can find the source it would be no problem. While you are at it, if they plate, I would like to get a few badges recoated in gold, i think it looks nice on a Green tundra. I have an extra set of the 4 door handles that I think it would be cool to try too! Even the tailgate!

Hello, Yes, the chrome door handles are available. Summit Racing has them, I've got them for my DC and they are very nice. Heres the link!

Check with Harley-Davison shops for places that do nice chrome plating. $30-$100 a part usually. They'll do the strip and prep work usually.
