Default TRD OFFROAD Decal installation. Where? How much? Why?

I have been toying with the idea of adding the "TRD OFFROAD" decals to the rear fenders of my Tundra. Does anyone know a good place to get them? Are there differences between the LEFT and RIGHT side decals? How much do they typically run?
I did an extensive search, but didn't come up with much. I have considered the IS TRD decals, but hate to false advertise

Thanks,

Ken

I can help you...I did this mod way back about 2 years ago on a previous Tundra by changing my TRD decal to a lighter color one.

First off< i bought them from Steve Ganz @ Carson Toyota to ensure that I had a genuine Toyota part. There was a seperate part # for the left and right but no visable difference. Each sticker ran approx. $35 bucks shipped. I got them in a couple days.

As for the application, I just cleaned my truck really well, cleaned the areaw/ some dawn detergent to get off any wax, and then rubbing alcohol. I had taken some prior measurements (don't remember them now) and just went by those. I applied the decals dry. Some members suggest using soapy water, which is what I would do if I were to do it over. The soapy water just allows you to be able to center it if you get it on crooked. It will eventually dry and be stuck to your truck.

Hope this helps.
Good luck.

I got mine from Tejas Toyota to ensure they were genuine Toyota. Mine came as 2 seperate decals, 1 left 1 right. The white backing material that they were stuck on was pre-cut to match up to the rear fenderwell. Took me a while to figure out why each of them had these weird cuts on them. You just lined them up with the rear fenderwell and just applied them. Came out factory looking. Cost me $65 for both, about 2 years ago.

BTW they come in different colors so make sure you order the color you want.

Default Decals

I got mine off e-bay for 24$ for BOTH. I think the company was streetgrapics??? I got ones that were a little different. They sat TRD all terrain and are a contrasting grey. Check out my photos to see it.

Thanks everyone for the replies. I just got a notice saying that there was a repsonse to this thread, even though there were responses from days ago (e.g. Lexus Luthor). Anyway, thanks for the responses, exactly the kind of feedback I was looking for!

Default Use the Factory Ones!!

The ones that Toyota sells have the template already attached for mounting. Easy.

BTW, our LINE-X shop can spray in the TRD logo on your truck's bulkhead or bed floor if you get a LINE-X bedliner. We spray the logo in for free! (Hey, just the logo is free, pal.)

I cannot believe you guys are going to a dealer and paying $35 for a sticker! Go to your local sticker shop (if you dont know one I can recommend some in orange county) and tell them you want a replica sticker of that. The good shops have done trd stickers for show cars alot so they will have them on file. Probably cost you $5 per side of the truck.

Will most Line-X dealers do that?

I don't really know how many offer it. Our Toyota dealer requested the logos, so we originally did it for them. We always spray logos for free. We also have a longhorn, Army paratrooper logo, Chevy bow tie, on & on & on.
