Default Emblem placement 03 Tundra...help!!!

I recently purchased a 2003 Tundra from a guy who "debadged" the truck.
Since then, I have purchased the emblems and TRD stickers, but I can't seem to find information regarding placement (exact placement) of the emblems. I know where they go, but I was hope for some information such as measurements from say end of the door or something....I especially don't want to get the TRD sticker on the wrong place. Any suggesting other than going to the dealership and taking a measure tape, I'll do that if I don't get any responses here.....lol.......thx

Default Help me help this TSer out

mrrev, I too would like to know what the measurements are for the emblems. This would be very informative for any future TSers wanting to "rebadge". Hopefully some members who still have their emblems (Toyota Tundra, I-Force V8, etc) can take a few measurements.... I cannot help you there, for I am "debadged"...

However, to aid you in the placement of your sticker, check out the FAQ thread I put together recently and look down towards "Decals" and there should be a thread regarding the installation of the TRD stickers (including photos). If you can't find what you're looking for, let me know and I'll take some measurements of my "TRD Sport" sticker for you.

By the way, welcome to the club!

Default fear not guys

Guys it's the holidays, I'll help out your cause. My truck is in the shop right now but should be back by the end of the day and I'll try and get all the badge measurements you need. I have all the stuff 4x4, v8 etc so their shouldn't be any left out. Do you still want the TRD sticker measurements or does the FAQ give them to you? Give me till tomorrow morning or so.

Thumbs up woohoo, i knew someone would help out

preprunner, the picture I was looking for was actually in the Tacoma forum, regarding the stickers on a Tacoma... the measurements (obviously) will not be the same for the Tundra. Here's the Tacoma thread I'm talking about...I mistakenly thought it was on a Tundra.

However, one member posted that if bought from Toyota, the TRD decals come with a template. See related thread here (post #6).

Thanks for stepping up to the plate, preprunner.

Default Here we go fellas

Alrighty, here's what I got:

The passenger side is where I got my side measurements:

TRD Sticker:
Top Left corner of the T is 10.25" from the bottom lip of the bed liner rails (right where the metal and plastic meet)
Bottom Right corner of the Sticker is 13" from the bottom lip of the bed liner rails
Top left corner of the T is 3" from the inside lip between the light and the metal (I simply stuck the tab of the tape measure into this gap)
Bottom right corner of the sticker is 20 13/16" from the inside lip between the light and the metal

Limited Badge:
Bottom left corner of the "L" is 1.5" from the left door lip
Bottom left corner of the "L" is 19" from the top of the side trim (Once again I rested the tape measure tab on the top of the painted trim piece and measured up)

Toyota Tundra Badge:
Bottom right corner of the "A" is 2.75" from the right side door lip
Top left corner of the T in Toyota is 19.75" from the right side door lip
Bottom right corner of the A is 0.5" from the top of the painted molding
Bottom left corner of the T in Toyota is 1.75" from the top of the painted molding

Now for the badges on the tailgate:

Toyota Tundra Badge:
Bottom right corner of the "A" is 3 3/16" from the bumper (from the inside edge of the bumper ridge closest to the metal tailgate)
Bottom left corner of the T in Toyota is 4 2/16" from the bumper
Top left corner of the T in Toyota is 1 11/16" from the left side lip of the tailgate
Bottom right corner of the "A" is 18.75" from the left side lip of the tailgate

Iforce V8 Badge:
Side of Iforce is 16.25" from right side tailgate lip
Side of 8 is 9 9/16" from right side tailgate lip
Bottom of the Iforce is 3 7/16" from bumper (from the inside edge of the bumper ridge closest to the metal tailgate)
Bottom of 8 is 3 6/16" from bumper

4WD Badge:
Bottom left point of the 4 is 3 9/16" from bumper (from the inside edge of the bumper ridge closest to the metal tailgate)
Bottom of "D" is 3.5" from bumper
Right most part of the "D" is 2 10/16" from right side lip of tailgate
Bottom left point of the 4 is 8 13/16" from right side lip of tailgate

Well there you have it. I did my best. Some spots on the side (like the TRD and Limited) it was hard to get a perfectly accurate measurment because of the curvature of the metal panel and trying to find a marker to mark from but those numbers should get you lookin stock again. If anything's unclear let me know.

Default Stoked? Hell Yeah!!! But...

Hey a big thanx to preprunner for actually going out there and taking the actual measurements. I totally appreciate that.
but one more request to anyone out there with an SR5/2wd.
I just need the measurements for the SR5 emblem on the side of the door,
and the measurement from the right side of the edge of the tailgate to the edge of the iforceV8 emblem, (since I don't have a 4wd, but wish).

oh and happy holidays.
been check out this site and I got to say, I now feel I made the prefect purchase on the Tundra, I was torn for a bit between the new F150.

thx again....

Exclamation Never mind - found the answer - thanks anyway.

Based on the comments, it sounds like one of you had all of the badging removed - does anyone know whether the tundra badges have the alignment posts (holes required in the sheet metal) or if they are all 3M stick-ons?

I want to de-badge mine in back and I don't have the TRD so that won't mean much to me.

I'm curious, anyone have any ideas I would appreciate some feedback.

I'm sure that the '05 and '0 are the same in this respect so... There are no alignment holes. Check out the debadging threads in this forum, they are stocked with a whole bunch of good tips, from removal to fixing shadows.

The short of it is, park truck in sun for a few hours (a nice hot day) take some heavy guage fishing line and saw through the adheasive. Then its just a matter of removing the gummy glue residue. Or you could use a heating gun.

Later
