Default Yakima rack mounted to fiberglass lid? Any pics?

I bought my 04 DC on 11/1. A couple days later I ordered a fiberglass lid and had it installed just before thanksgiving. I love having the dry bed for luggage and xmas gifts on those longer trips. My original intent was to mount some yakima rails to the lid in the spring so that I could carry the bikes next season. I'm having some second thoughts on that plan however. Anybody have this type of setup that they can share pics of? I love the smooth look of the lid and I'm afraid if I mount the rails on there it will make it look a bit funny.

    thanks

Moderator's Note - Thread title changed from "shell" to "lid" for better exposure. Thanks.

    MJ,

I too was hesitant to mount a rack but I have to tell you when your landing pads are off and the you just have the rails on you can barely see it. I leave the landing pads on now just so I can find my white truck easier (Is it me of are there a butt load of white Tundras on the road?) Anyways I would highly recommend the rack as it has come in handy on more than one occasion.

I have an AC with a SnugTop and Yakima rack w/ both bike and ski mounts. Actually I took off the ski and bike mounts since its just easier to throw my them in the back. The only time I really use the bike mount is when I'm going camping or want to carry more than 3 bikes. I built a bike rack for the bed (a 2x4 w/ 3 fork mounts bolted to it). I can now take carry 5 bikes

If you like I can take some photos.

I have an 03 with a Snugtop SS and the Yakimas. I like the look and the funtionality is well worthwhile. I have several photos up already. I could post more if you like.

    Default oops....my wording was incorrect

I should have been more clear with my original posting. I have a fiberglass lid on the back, not a cap. Specifically, a Jason brand Rage Lid. I love the low profile and sleek look of it. I was wondering if I put the yakima tracks on it if it would make it look goofy. Anybody have yakima tracks mounted on a fiberglass lid?
