Question Painting Chrome bumpers?

I want to have monochromatic bumpers instead of chrome. Can the chrome be repainted or do I have to buy new bumpers/covers? How much are the Ivan Stewart Bumper covers for front and rear?

thanks all,

If you try to paint over the chrome, it will come out poorly!!! You have to get it either sand blasted or stripped B4 painting. Ithink that the painted bumpers are around $200-300.

Good luck!!

jdc580,

also, there is no Ivan Stewart rear bumper. you could also get the base model black bumper, paint it and sell your stock chrome bumper on here. i know a couple of members were looking for new chrome bumpers.

Chris

You could also get a color-key red, black or green bumper and have it repainted or replace the bumper with a roll pan (I've seen them on ebay)

i've seen the roll pans on a couple of tundras and they look sweet! smooths out the rear. the only bad thing i would see is that you would lose the comfort of having the bumper to step on.
