Default Cracked windshield!!!

Yesterday I found a crack on the passenger side. It's about 6 inches long. Never recieved a rock or anything. I looked at it carefully and didn't see anything that could have caused that. So I brought the truck to the dealer and have them look at it. They told me it is probably a pressure crack and they will replace it under warranty. I only have 2300 miles on it. Anybody else had that problem?

Marc

A friend of mine had the same problem with a ' 04 Camry - after the cracked windshield was replaced, the new one pull away from the adhesive twice in the same corner. It looked like the windshield frame of the car was out of tolerance. He sold it shortly after that though, so I don't know what eventually happened.

I've noticed occasional noises that sound like the window just cracked. I haven't seen any actual cracks, but it sounds like the window frame is torqueing the window a bit and it makes an unnerving sound. Will keep an eye out for cracks though.

good thing is if it blocks your driving view, it's free replacement in FL anyways.

I was searching this and thought it was funny. My '99 is in desperate need of a new windshield. It is a rock magnet and I was wondering if anyone else was having issues. Tailgating or not- rocks love this truck.

Yea.. I can attest to that. My '01 was a magnet as well. I think it was on the 3rd windshield when I traded it in.

EDIT: it had a crack on the 3rd wndow when I traded it in as well..

Yep, my 92 Subaru was bought in Spring. (It's black) In May, on a hot day, the passenger window was just gone! They inspected it and it had shot out and was in pieces on side of the car.

When it's hot out, we leave one of the windows slightly cracked. (It never happended, again.)

Well they replaced the windshield today, everything is perfect. We'll see if it happens again.
