Default Removable rear seat in '05 Access cab?

Hi, just registered and am new to the forum and to Toyota Tundras (Tundri?).

Just sold my very serviceable but HUGE '94 F250 xtra cab that had served my needs well.

Tell me, what would it take to remove the rear seat in the '05 access cab? I'm sure it involves removing some bolts.

Sure would be a nice enhancement if Toyota would design this seat to be able to be removed al'a the rear seats in some minivans by just releasing a lock-down lever!

Hello Wyo Welcome to the club.

Sorry for the late reply... Are you wanting to remove just the seats? Or the whole rear bench assembly?

To remove the rear seats (cushions), hit the lock switch that pulls the rear seats upwards (one on each side). There should be 4 bolts at the base of the seat assembly. Remove the 4 bolts and you should be good to go.

I really would like to remove the whole seat assy., bottom and back. If an owner needs to haul reasonably sized cargo inside the cab it would be nice if Toyota would design the Tundra AC and DC to be able to pull the whole seat out and have it for a cargo area,,, IMO.

The whole seat does come out in one piece, atleast in mu 02 access cab. I had to remove it to run a coax cable. Just fold up the bottom part, unscrew 4 bolts and you're good to go.
