Default Running boards

I like the way tube steps look better, but I've read a lot here about paint chipping on '05 Tacoma rocker panels and other leading edges behind the front wheel, and when I noticed some small chips after a trip this past weekend, I ordered running boards for better protection.

If you're interested, I got them for 227.00 + 40.00 shipping from Toyota of Dallas (Access Cab).

If you looked at the tube steps (I have them), you'll see they, also, give quite a bit of protection to the paint.

Before I got mine, I got lots of dirt all along the sides of the truck when driving over sand. Now, it's confined to just a few spots around the wheel wells; I haven't noticed it on the sides.

So I think both are good....just my 2 cents!

Lots of pics of my truck...but inside my computer!

Is that Cardomain site free? I can make my own page there.

Default Tube steps

Well, I went ahead and ordered a set of tube steps for my Taco. I printed out the page from the online source and took it with me to my dealer who was glad to match the price. No Shipping. And will pick it up tomorrow.
I ahve also ordered the Access roll on Tonneau cover online from real truck. they have 30$ off with free shipping.
Just thought I would pass it along.

Unhappy Tube steps and Tonneau

Well, here is an update. The tube steps were waiting for me the next day from my dealer as promised. Have to put it on. Should be simple.
The tonneau from Real Truck- another story. I ordered it at 10AM on tuesday. They have advertised with a garantee on their website that it will ship out in 24hrs. So tuesday goes by - nothing
Called them around noon on wed - they said yes it will go out that evening and I will get a tracking # that eve. - nothing!
Called them today at 6PM and it has still not shipped.

That's odd. I have ordered from Real Truck a number of times and have always had great service and super fast shipping. In fact most of my items have always showed up at my door in like 2 days.

Default Tonneau from Real truck the story continues.

After a lot of calls and some trouble they called me back and gave me a tracking#. I said OK. So was tracking it with Fed ex.
Come Friday AM last, the shipment was in Indy, loaded on the delivery truck. Great.
around 4 pm I again checked the site and guess what? It said the item was delivered and signed for @ 2:30 PM. I had not received ANYTHING. My wife was at home and knew we were expecting a delivery.
So I call Fed ex and Real Truck and let them know. Now they have to trace the delivery, god knows when I will get it.
I guess the vendor srews up and is late, now fed ex screws up. Hope it is the right part or I am really going to burst into flames.
