I didn't even know that the old 4runner front end fits on the old tacos. Of course, I never looked into it or tried. That's interesting.

see, thats the thing, i dont even have the money for a new taco for another 2 years, let alone to be able to try this. i just figured that all the guys here that have all the money to instal s/c's, custom lifts, etc... would know!!

when i saw a 4runner yesterday, i noticed how the hood curved down more, as guys were complaining that the hood scoop in the tacos is getting in the way of the road, so i figured that this would be a possible fix, as well as to get a purely custom taco!!

Gilley:
yea, it fits exactly, and it looks cool. there are a few guys on customtacos.com that have done it, one guy just this week. if you go there and search, you'll see what i mean

IMO i dont like the front end of the 4runner Toyota kinda uses the same style looks like the tundra front end looks exactly like the sequoia and the 4 runner looks like the tacoma. If u look side by side the tundra and seqouia they are not anything much different. But as for the 4runner If it were for me I wouldn't want to put it on the tacoma I like the front end of the taco.

I agree that the 4Runner and Tacoma look very similiar in terms of front end components. The Tundra and Sequoia share the exact same hood but have slightly different front fenders. The double cab Tundra shares the same front doors as the Sequoia but not the rear. The arrangement may be the same between the 4Runner and the Taco.
