Default 05 Cargo Divider

Ordered a Cargo Divider from my dealer for my 05 Tacoma after the sale. Has anyone gone with this option? The $270 option was questionable for me at first but now I think it was a great decision!
It slides along the tie-down rails and keeps you stuff from sliding inside the bed! Very versitle for items from coolers to groceries.
It is well designed and should last the life of the truck.

I have one too and yes I do think it's great.... but I'm trying to get rid of it now because I want a tonneau cover and I will not need the cargo divider now. I love how you can move the cargo divider with the rail system to fit whatever you are carrying.

Anyway, if anybody is interested in one I have a slightly used one. I'll probably throw it up on ebay when I get around to ordering my tonneau cover.

Is it just made out of plastic? How strong is it? Toyota's price seems way too high if it's just a piece of plastic. Does it lock into place, or if you leave it in the rails, can anyone walk away with it in a few seconds?

I have the cargo divider and use it with my lid. Its aluminum and heavy duty. I use it to keep all the normal juck I carry around towards the front of the bed and leave the rest of the area open. No problems using it with the lid.

I'm sure it does work with the hard lid, but I want a soft tonneau cover. I could probably find one that works with the cargo divider, but I don't think I would really use it anymore.

Default ebay cargo divider

Just wanted to let you know that I have seen these on ebay for "buy it now " prices of $209 although shipping may be extra. I am planning on getting one too.

What is your asking price for the bed divider? Do you know if it will also fit a 2007 model?

I just bought a 2007 Tacoma DCab LB and added the Toyota OEM Cargo Divider. (BTW, bought it online at Toyota Tacoma Parts and Tacoma Accessories Store : Welcome to the Toyota Tacoma Parts and Accessories Store<BR>TOLL FREE 800.920.8606). I use it to keep the plastic grocery bags from flying around and unloading their contents into the bed.

Then I bought an Access (Limited Edition) tonneau cover (best tonneau for my needs that I've seen - Agricover.com: Truck Bed Covers and Caps - Pickup Tonneau Covers) and was sweating because the Tonneau rails install under the Tacoma rail system, with small spacers that effectively reduce the distance between the accessory rails. Now I'm worried that I have a $215 cargo divider that won't fit. To compound the problem, the wheel-grip top nut used to secure the cargo divider is too tall for the tonneau.

After looking at it though, it dawned on me. Just flip the cargo divider's mounting brackets upside down remount them. Then cut approx. 2 " off of each end of the cargo divider. The divider is all-aluminim and cuts easily with a hack saw. It worked perfectly, and in fact I like the top-loading access to quickly install or remove the divider better than the original design.

My next step is to find some small cargo hooks to affix to the divider, so that I can hang those plastic bags off the divider to keep them upright and immobile.

Some other high-value (to me) accessories I've added:

All-weather floor mats (OEM)
Front D-rings (I'm totally baffled why this was not a std. feature, but it's done now. These were fairly easy to install with two people.)
Bed mat (OEM)
Maxi-View Blind-spot mirrors - pricey at $30, but I love them!
Blind Spot Mirror - Maxi View - Blind Spot Mirror System

Now I'm considering adding after-market leather to the seats, and I think I will be done for a while.
