This is a discussion thread titled "3057a St?", within the Interior & Exterior forum, part of the Technical & Vehicle Assistance Forums category.
Anybody know if you can inter-change 3156 rear turn signal, with a 3057A ST sylvania silver star. I plugged in the 3057 and the turn and hazard lights appear to be operating properly.
Both of these lights are 12v and 27w. With the voltage and the wattage the same there should be no problem correct?

I got 3157's in my rear taillight. The only difference is the 3156 is a single elment light and the 3157 is dual. When you put in the 3157 you are only using one of the elements on it. So in essence half the bulb never gets used at all!
