I had this problem on my 2004 DC....but that's because the wife wanted some mulch for the yard and it sat in the bed for over a week!....but I rinsed the bed and got Line-X the following week....knew before the mulch that I was gettin Line-X and had him do the bolts too. see my photo gallery

Clean them up, there are plenty of products available that will take away rust. Then, you can coat the bolts with clear Krylon or Rustoleum. Or, paint them with clear fingernail polish.

Hey David,
Quick question you ya'...
What's the "chance" of these cleaning products, which you're referring to, damaging a LINE-X liner. Considering the liners strength (in the first place) I guess I'd be, more concerned with "discoloration" than "structural damage", if by chance, the wrong "cleaning product" was used.
What's your take on this...
,
Dave

Good question. I remember one product that's thin, like water, and works almost instantaneoulsy. I'd use a q-tip and keep it off the liner, just in case.
