Should I decal my windshield? (behind rearview mirror)
I was thinking of adding an oval Toyota symbol to the center of my windshield. I got the idea when I was driving a rental 2005 F-150 for work. It has "F-150" right behind the rear view mirror and it helps block sun from coming in that way. The F-150 also has little dots to filter out more sunlight.
I figured I would add the oval Toyota symbol to help block light, but I would probably prefer just adding little dots. Is there a way to add dots?

That sounds like a great idea - I'd probably do that, too. I've been looking for a way to put the Toyota back in my Tundra since I debaged it.
If you are going to go through the trouble of making a decal anyway, what about using the new, more squared-off "T" that 'Yota has been using in the '05 ads?

Some overseas companies manufacture decals using dots. The decals look the same except you can partially see through them. Once in a while you can find them on ebay.
my 05 D-Cab has the little black dots behind the mirror to block the sun. You can put an 05 windshield in.

Check your local graphics/printing shop. Many have the dot matrix decals and can print anything you want on them. One drawback I saw on some was that when wet, the holes fill with water and make visibility almost impossible. Some places cover it with a clear film to make it smoother. Contact GlassScapes http://www.glasscapes.com/ maybe they can help you with ideas also.
I have installed on my last 5 vehicles a 6-12" strip of 5% limo tint along the top edge. Looks black from outside and blocks the sun very well. See my pics, that one is 4 1/2" but will be 5 or 5 1/4 if the window needs to be changed. I also ask the shop to make the contour match the factory tint/roof line. I had one done tha was considered straight. It dropped dramatically on the edges from the curve of the windshield, I thought it looked strange but saw it on MANY vehicles in Florida that way. It's easier for the shop as they only have to cut the top edge.
