Default Lowering the Tube steps

Hey guys, have the Toyo tube steps installed. Great move IMHO. I think the truck feels more rigid now or maybe my imagination. Anyway, feel it is still too high for my fam.
Thinking if I can find some 1" thick square pieces of aluminum as spacers, could bring it down a bit. Whaddya guys think? Where does one find some spacers like that. Or even a 1" thick, 3"x 12" piece of al which I can cut and drill out.

What kind of tubes did you buy and where did you buy them? Been looking for the Westin's tube but they are BO or missing the brackets (ovals).....

I bought the factory tube steps from the dealer. Took a printed sheet of the best online price with me and they pricematched. They are light and well made. I dont like the chrome, I feel they will get scratched. This I can remove, sand and spray anytime.
