Interior & ExteriorDiscussions about the interior, and exterior of your vehicle.
This is a discussion thread titled "'05 Tacoma OEM Seat Covers.", within the Interior & Exterior forum, part of the Technical & Vehicle Assistance Forums category.
Please if you order these, post up a oicture of them installed. I'm waiting to see a differnet picture other than the one above.
Thanks,
Koko
I looked at these and really like them.
I live in central Ca and it gets very hot, these look like they may be hot and sticky to sit on in the summer, they seem more like rubber than cloth, any info on them would be helpful.
sounds to me like maybe you got the wrong seat covers. they make a set for the trd model and a set for the regular seats
the trd seats have more side bolstering and thus would need a wider cover, if that same wider cover was installed on a thin seat i would expect similar results to those you are experiencing.
however this is just my opinion. you could however cross-check the part numbers for peace of mind
I was able to complete the passenger seatback piece.
It's rubber like material. Takes a good stretch to get it in place.
Headrest covers are a bit short. You can see the factory cover.
The material gives a clean smooth feeling. Easy to clean and does not absorb sweat and dirt.
Will take some more pics later after I clean up all the trash.
I used to have f/r set covers for Tundra by great-covers. They are "full" covers held by strings/bands. The finish look is very factory but messy under the seats.
These neoprene covers have the back exposed therefore will not conform to the contour of the seats. They are held by velcros, 1 tube and 1 strap. No loose strings/bands. Much cleaner look but a pain to install.
