Default Radio antenna on 03 Tundra?

Mine won't stay tight. After a few weeks of driving it loosens back up. Any tips?

Todd

How do you re-tighten? With your hands? If it keeps getting loose, your best bet would be to take a crescent wrench and tighten it with that. There is a place at the base of the antenna where you can securely attach the wrench to without causing any damage.

Default wrench

Yes, I tighten with a wrench. Still works loose. Any ideas?

Well, I would suggest thread-lock, but you may want to remove it if you were going to a car-wash...

I'll be brainstorming, but hopefully another TSer can help you out in the meantime.

Had this very same problem. Took the nut off, cleaned off the crap on the threads, used some Loc-Tite and it hasn't made a peep since.

Default Thanks guys!

Thanks guys, I'll do that. I have some loctite I can use so it should be a simple enough project!
