Bed rail inserts, any changes through the years...

Just ordered a Advance Tonneau cover for my 04 Tundra and since it's black like most aftermarket covers, i wondered if anyone has either painted the bed rail inserts to match or if there were any other colors through the years in factory colors other than the factory Dark gray? Another option would be if there were aftermarket inserts available....Any suggestions ?
