Default Sun Roof

I have been mulling over the idea of putting in a sun roof. Maybe the Sequia's will fit or an after market. Anyone been there??? A friend has an Accord and when there is a smoker in the car, the sun roof pulls all the smoke out like a vacumn cleaner, a nice side benefit to have in addition to the extra open air touch.

I'm sold!!! Looks great. Where did you get it, Toyota dealer, after market and did you have it installed, is it electric and do you have any suggestions for me??? What was your purpose for getting one and where on your list of things to get did you have it??? I have the K&N so I need to get the dual exhaust next but would like the sun roof as soon as possible.

I had it put in 2 months after I bought the truck. A local guy put it in. the sunroof is a Solaire 5400 inbuilt electric. It has the tilt feature as well as the full open. It closes automaticaly when you shut the truck off but you can override that by hitting the button once. you can find out more at http://www.mysunroof.com . Price is between 1k and 1200.

Bert covered the other questions nicely, so I will try to add to
the last 2.

The sunroof was way down on the list, with so many other mods that can be done with alot less $$ and add enjoyment/function to the Tundra. I went through the list, and sunroof was next. I wanted one, because it adds to the function of the cab. It creates a nice open feeling and ride. We do not get that many days per year where you definitely need the AC running, so the sunroof is nice to enjoy the air in NE. Just need to remember to close it when cruising down at the beach/ocean (read seagulls, )

Nice truck and thanks for your comments. The tan interior looks great with the Sunfire Pearl and you are right about the sun roof adding to the function of the cab. My sister has one in her Sequoia and it has been very useful to her in Va Bch. Thanks for the seagull warning, I'll most likely share the experience living on their turf at the beach. It will probably be right after I wash the truck, right? Did you get the same sun roof as Bert, have it put in by a body shop and do you have any warnings for me to be aware of before turning my toy over to shop down here???

Thanks. Bert and I have basically the same features and sunroof.
Bert has the Solarie 5400 and I have the Stratos 744. Mine was installed by Classicsoft (they handle a large volume of dealer traffic at this location), so I knew they were experienced . As you know, do your homework on the installer. The project is only as good as the installer putting it in. BTW, after washing the truck, the birds will attack. I think they have a game going...????

I have the Stratos 744 as well, also installed by Classic Soft. Fantastic installation. They have to remove the factory inside roof trim, and reposition the dome light. They matched my factory color roof interior perfectly, and you can't even tell they repositioned the dome light.

It is absolutely fantastic. I really dig the one button full open/close operation. I asked them to put the biggest piece of glass in the roof possible, and it is wide.........

And best of all, the installation, motor, and all components are fully warranted parts/labor for as long as I own the truck.
