Question removing door mouldings

I just bought my tundra and am interested in taking off the door mouldings. Has anyone done it succesfully and how does it look? Also, I am looking for an inexpensive way to level out the truck(Lift front end to match back end height), and suggestions?

I dunno about the door mouldings, but to level the truck you need Cornfed's. Search TS for the source. They are about $130.

It has been done, but it takes some bodywork and painting to fill in the holes where the body side moulding is attached with blind clips.

Are the side mouldings held in place similar to the way the bed rail caps are attached? I am very curious to know if they are snap in/out.

The main reason I'd like to remove mine is to wash and wax the car without getting white smudges all over them -- if they are mounted like the bed rail caps I could just pop them off, wax, and put them back...

Default mouldings

You know, I'm not so sure about the holes.

I think that the side mouldings, like the badges, are glued on.

You could very easily get them off but they would stay off.

there are at least 4 members that have taken them off, TundraSoul, Quicktoy, BrianL and others i forgot. if i remember correctly, they were held in w/ plastic tabs that will break when removed. i think there are a total of 4 square holes. not sure though.
