Default SnugTOP Shell for 2005 DC LB (photos)

I just had mine installed and I really like it. It is the XV version. I ordered it with the fold down front window so I can clean the back windows of the cab. Fit and finish are outstanding - all inside surfaces are carpeted. Bolts to the rails inside the truck and the shell will be easy to remove. All seals are attached to the shell, so if removed, it leaves nothing behind. Total cost was a bit high at $1800 but I think it was worth it.

Looking good! I like the way it covers the bedrails. It looks more complete!

Did they have to remove the top bed rails to install the top or is it mounted directly on top of the rails?
Also, did you know that if you want to install curtains, the hook side of Velcro attaches to the carpeted material on the inside of the shell? You just have to cut small 1" pieces off a roll of Velcro and sew them onto the curtain material. Easy on, easy off!

The shell installs over the top of the rails - they do not need to be removed. They designed it to overlap them and the fit and finish looks really nice. No leaks except through the tailgate sides (a Toyota design flaw, not SnugTOP).
