This is a discussion thread titled "TailGate panel Rattle", within the Interior & Exterior forum, part of the Technical & Vehicle Assistance Forums category.
Anyone know of a good body putty or something that I can put between the tailgate and the panel on it? Mine rattles like crazy going over bumps......the screws are not loose and I tried a layer of duct tape underneath the panel...but it wasn't thick enuf (I think). Something like the grey stuff you'd find behind a door panel, under the clear plastic seal would be cool....if I knew what it was called...

A tube of some stuff called "Aluminized Silicone" from the local HW store....ran a bead around the inside of the panel screwed it back together and now it's QUIET!
