I guess I pushed too friggin hard to set the little round mirror I was putting onto my rearview mirror and it jumped track, or did I bust a gear? Is there a way to fix or what?

Don't push so hard on those little pigs!!!!!

I don't understand....are you saying you were putting one of those little, round mirrors on an outside mirror and, now, it no longer works with the electric controller? Does it move around a lot, now?

Yes, that is the case. The up and down remains functional however the right to left seems off track

I have actually gently "moved" them back the other way. If it is the kind of setup I think it is, it is a plastic gear against a toothed plastic rail. If you push hard enough it will "jump track". My sisters VW Bug got vandalized and had the same problem with the mirror. With some gentle persuasion I was able to move it back onto track and it has worked fine since then.
Give it a try, but be careful. What have you got to lose at this point?
The other option is removing the mirror housing to see if you can get to it that way.
Good luck!

Ken

From what I can tell on the Sequoia its actually like a push in round pin and plastic grommet deal. Mine has popped out 3 or 4 times as I was cleaning and/or removing snow. I believe it snaps on the inside edge. Just give a little push and you shoiuld feel it pop right back in.

You guys brilliant! yes it was a simi simple push/pop back in. I had to monkey with her a bit, Set the automatic controll so that it would be set as far inboard as possible and try to pop it back in on either side of the mirror then set it all the way outboard and try again to pop it back.

On one of those attemps, I'm not sure which....It went "pop"...

Thanks all
