My 04 Double Cab came with a form-fit bug shield that the dealer installed when I purchased the truck. I have not had any problems with the bug shield as far as going through car washes and stuff. I have owned my truck for just about a year now. I like the way the form fit bug shield looks on my truck. No complaints so far. Good luck on deciding which bug shield to get.

I bought the one made by Lund. That's what my accessories dealer recommended and it looks great. It was $56 installed.

So is the brand called Form-Fit? May I know how much it costs and does it work well as a bug shield? Also, is it a no-drill install? Lastly, does it rub against the paint when you drive? I understand that some of them actually flex and when u drive, them may gradually wear the paint down.

I believe the form fit costs around $100.00. It works well as a bug shield. It is also a no drill installation. It does not rub off on the paint. It comes with 3M protectors that go on your hood with an adhesive. The bug shield vibrates on the 3M protectors. Mine does not flex when I drive. The only time I have seen it flex is when I go through a car wash. At the end when all that air is force on your vehicle in order to dry it.

I cannot seem to find it anywhere on the internet. Can someone direct me? Thanks. Looking at all the photos in your galleries, I must agree that the form-fit looks really good on the Tundra.

Default Back in the day

Back in the day I had one of those bug shields on the front of my 86 4runner. It messed up the air coming over the hood and made the windshield squirters go all over the place and not do a very good job getting washer fluid on the windshield. Do the new ones still do this?

I did a little research on the company. This is what I found. I hope that this helps. The company that makes form-fit hood guards is called focus auto design. Anyways, good luck.

The only place I know to get one is Steve Ganz at Carson Toyota.

Steve G can be found here. Send him a PM. He will ship to your house or business for under $100 I believe.

Check out my Tundra photos also. I have many good close-ups of the Form Fit.
