the shifter just unscrews. for removing the center console you first pop off the metallic trim that sorrounds the shifter. pull upwards firmly and it pops off. then you will see four screws there, remove all four. then pop out the cupholder by pulling up on it. remove the tray that sits to the right of the steering wheel under the a/c vent, to do this just pull firmly. to remove the front half of the center console you pull UP and torwards the rear. the up part is important, you will see a seam where the center storage half meets the front half. what holds them together besides the 4 screws you removed is plastic hooks. these are shaped like a horizontal j and will release as you lift the console. in front there are also tabs that release when you pull rearwards.
